Our son, Gabriel, was diagnosed with autism at the age of 6. This was after four years of therapeutic services for issues ranging from speech delay to sensory integration disorder. Fortunately, he was already getting the services he would need, thanks to our pediatrician and Early Intervention. Many families are not so fortunate.
